GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ALL OUR MEETINGS

FOR MORE SPECIFIC INFORMATION PLEASE GO TO THE INDIVIDUAL WEBSITES via HYPERLINK.

Programs and speakers are varied- but most often pertain to information that hard of hearing people need; assistive devices, self help instruction, "hearing" dogs, audiologist and Hearing Instrument Specialists, cochlear implants specialists etc. are examples of some of the topics that have been discussed. All three chapters utilize CART. CART is a form of CAPTIONING, where the speaker's message is projected onto a screen for all to see(see picture bottom of page).

Holiday parties during December as well as a picnic mid summer are standard fare. Socializing, along with education, self help and advocacy are trade-marks of SHHH

No charge to attend meetings, and just a small activity fee to join; anyone interested in learning more about hearing loss (whether hearing impaired or not), along with family or friends, are welcome to attend!
